Recipe Courtesy of Chef Kimberly Larsen from HarmonsCilantro Lime Flat Iron Steak Ingredients:
4 Flat Iron or Skirt Steaks
3 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Cumin
1 tbsp Paprika
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup canola oil
1 lime juice and zestCilantro Lime Flat Iron Steak Directions:
1.) Add Marinade ingredients to a zip lock bag.
2.) Add steaks and marinate for 20-40 minutes.
3.) Pre-heat grill on high heat.
4.) Grill steak for 3 minutes, turn 90 degree and continue to cook for 3 minutes.
5.) Flip steaks and repeat process.
6.) Finish steaks in oven depending on desired temp.
7.) Remove steaks and allow resting for 5 minutes.
8.) Serve with Chipotle Cilantro Lime DressingChipotle Cilantro Lime Dressing Ingredients:
1 cup packed cilantro
1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 cup lime juice & zest of a lime
3 tablespoons Honey
2 teaspoons chipotle paste
1 garlic clove
Chipotle Cilantro Lime Dressing Directions:
1.) Puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
2.) Season with salt and pepper to tasteQuick Strawberry Cake Ingredients:
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 cup self-rising flour
3/4 cup sugar, divided
1/2 cup milk
½ cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled, cleaned, and cut into quarters
½ cup fresh rhubarb, thinly sliced
1/4 cup water Quick Strawberry Cake Directions:
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.) Pour melted butter into a 1-1/2-quart glass baking dish.
3.) In a large bowl, combine flour, 1/4 cup sugar, buttermilk and milk then pour evenly over the butter. In a separate bowl, combine strawberries, rhubarb, remaining 1/2 cup sugar and water; spoon evenly over flour-milk layer. DO NOT STIR.
4.) Bake 40 to 45 minutes, or until golden. Serve warm or cold.
