Chicken Pot Stickers

2 cups finely chopped cooked chicken
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp Worcester sauce
1 tsp toasted sesame seed oil
1 tsp freshly ground ginger
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tbsp corn starch
1 tsp salt
2 tsp pepper
1.) Mix filling ingredients together (chicken through egg) and set aside until ready to use. Refrigerate if an extended period is anticipated.
2.) Place about a teaspoon of chicken filling into each wonton. Wet the edges of the wonton with water and fold the sides together. Crimp the edges to hold them together.
3.) Place the dumplings into a steamer that has been lightly greased or lined with parchment (not covering steam holes completely), steam for about 10 minutes. OR Heat a large sauté pan on the stove and add just enough oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan. Place the pot stickers bottom side down and add about 1/4 cup water to the pan. Cover and let the water cook off. Continue cooking until the bottoms of the pot stickers are golden brown.
4.) Serve with your favorite oriental dipping sauce (I’ve included one of my favorites below) and enjoy!
Soy Dipping Sauce
1/4 cup mirin
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tbsp chopped green onions
1 tsp chili paste with garlic
1.) Mix the dipping sauce ingredients together in a a small bowl and serve with the chicken pot stickers.
