Bratwurst With Onions, Carrots, And Apples

1 cup Heffeweizen beer
4 cups sliced onions
4 cups baby carrots
4 cups sliced apples
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp butter
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1.) Heat a large skillet on the stove and add just enough olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan. Add 2 tbsp of butter to the pan as well.
2.) Allow the butter to melt and add the sliced onions to the pan. Saute the onions for about 10-15 minutes or until the onions become a beautiful golden color.
3.) Remove the onions from the pan and add the bratwursts. Pan sear the bratwursts until they are full cooked through. Add the onions back into the pan and pour the cup of beer into the pan to deglaze.
Bring to a boil and reduce the beer by half. Remove from the stove, cover and set aside.
4.) Heat another saute pan on the stove and add just enough oil to lightly coat the pan and add the remaining butter.
5.) Add the carrots and apples, saute for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with brown sugar and continue sauteing until apples and carrots are tender. Salt and pepper to taste.
6.) Serve and Enjoy!
