As Aired on February 25, 2014
Recipes Courtesy Chef Bryan Woolley
1 pound thinly sliced beef top round steak
2 garlic cloves minced
3 green onions cut into 2 inch sections
1 tbsp freshly ground ginger
1 red bell pepper, cut into thin slices
1 cup zucchini, cut into thin slices
1 cup broccoli, cut into small tree’s
1 cup carrots, thinly sliced
¾ cup fresh orange juice
1 tbsp fresh lime juice
1 tbsp orange zest
1 tbsp orange marmalade
2 tsp crush pepper flakes (more if you like it really spicy)
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tbsp soy sauce
1.Mix sauce ingredients together in a small bowl and set aside.
2.Heat a sauté pan or wok on your stove.
3.Add the olive oil and sliced beef top round steak. Thoroughly cook the beef, than remove and place on a paper towel to help pull away excess oil.
4.Add the minced garlic, ginger, and sliced vegetables. Stir fry for about 2 minutes.
5.Return the cooked beef to the wok and stir to combine.
6.Make sure you sauce is mixed together and pour into the center of the wok.
7.Stir to coat stir fry with orange sauce. You will need to move fast because the sauce will thicken quickly.
8.Remove from heat and serve over whole wheat pasta, brown rice or in lettuce cups.
