Detmer expecting young tight ends to shine this season

(KUTV) BYU Head Coach Kalani Sitake debuted with a 9-4 record in 2016. The Cougars rode a rushing attack that averaged more than 200 yards per game, but the Cougars are going to need a new plan in 2017 because BYU is losing the school’s all-time leading rusher, Jamal Williams, and the 5th leading rusher in school history, quarterback Taysom Hill. Sitake and Offensive Coordinator Ty Detmer expect the passing game to pick up the slack, and while a lot is expected of quarterback Tanner Mangum, the coaches have high hopes for a promising young group of tight ends.
