Pac-12 Salutes Kyle Whittingham
July 29, 2017 —
(KUTV) When Kyle Whittingham and the Utes helped form the Pac 12 Conference in 2011 he openly wondered about his ability to survive as a head coach in a “power 5” conference. Seven years later he is the longest-tenured head coach in the league and his teams keep putting together bowl-caliber seasons without fail year after year. Saturday night on Talkin’ Sports, Adam Mikulich was back from yet another trip to Pac 12 media meetings in Hollywood where he spoke with all eleven other coaches in the league about Coach Whittingham. From USC’s Clay Helton saying he “looks up to” Whittingam to Todd Graham grimacing at the thoughts that Ute fans once wanted him out, any Utah football fan will be proud of a guy that’s been with them for going on 13 seasons.
