Utah Honors Majerus, Then Hangs On To Beat Buffs
(KUTV) The University of Utah almost blew a massive lead, but the Utes held on to win a thriller over Colorado.
The Utes built a 49-27 lead over CU, but the Buffs rallied and closed within a point at 56-55.
CU missed a game tying free throw and the Utes escaped with a 58-55 win on the day they honored their late coach, Rick Majerus.
A banner with his trademark sweater was hung in the rafters at halftime.
After the game Coach Larry Krystowiak loved the win, but wasn’t thrilled with the fact the Utes gave the Buffs a chance at the end.
The Utes next game is Wednesday at Oregon State.
