Utah Running Back Shines During Spring Practice
(KUTV) The Utes' Spring Football Game is next Saturday, today they scrimmaged at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Running back Karl Williams was the star of the game rushing 10 times for 101 yards and a touchdown. In all, the running backs go for 271 yards on 47 carries.
Afterwards Williams said the credit goes to his teammates on the offensive line.
"Anybody can run the ball behind the offensive line we have," Williams said. So, it comes down to who pass protect, who can read the blocks, who can catch the ball out of the backfield--it comes down to that mostly."
We'll have more from Kyle Whittingham coming up on Talkin' Sports Sunday night at 10:35 p.m. following 2News at 10.
