Why Does Foye Like The Jazz?
(KUTV) Randy Foye was the seventh pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. Kevin O'Connor says he liked Foye then, and he likes him now as a free agent.
Why does Foye, a 38% three point shooter, last year, like the Jazz?
Because they remind him of his last team, the Clippers.
"Just looking at the make-up for the team, I played last year with a big guy that got double teamed. I got a lot of open threes from that," Foye said. "I played with Al for two years, I played with Mo Williams for a year and a half. So that was something I under stood coming here. There was a need for me," Foye added.
Why did Jazz Senior Vice President, Kevin O'Connor make the move?
"One I think it is going to stretch the floor for us a little bit. We do see double teams. If you saw the playoffs last year, obviously everybody had a foot in the paint,” O’Conner said.
Foye is sure he will do more than hit threes. He takes pride in defending the other team's star. "You know last year if you watched the playoff series when we was playing Memphis, I was guarding Rudy Gay most of the time. And then, last year we were 3-1 versus OKC and I guarded Kevin.”
