Jazz Struggle to Make Playoffs
(KUTV) The Jazz and the Lakers are in a slow motion race for the 8th and final playoff berth in the west, with the Lakers slowly pulling two games in front of the Jazz.  Both teams clearly have issues.

The Jazz have lost 9 straight road games and 11 of their last 14 games overall.  What has gone wrong?  Well there are several theories.  One is they haven’t adjusted to Mo Williams return to the line-up.  Mo missed 32 games with a thumb injury and in the 10 games since he returned, Williams is shooting 39 percent and the Jazz have a 2-8 record.   The problem with that theory is the Jazz slide started while Mo was still hurt.  Maybe they haven’t recovered from losing winnable games at Milwaukee, Cleveland and Chicago or maybe they just aren’t good enough.

Lakers coach Mike D’Antoni says some teams aren’t good enough but his team is good enough.  He says they just don’t dial in and come with a consistent effort.  He says when they break a huddle by sticking their hands in and saying “Championship” it is a joke.  Watch the video here.
