Millsap-Hayward Power Jazz Past Hornets
(KUTV) Paul Millsap scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half and Gordon Hayward finished the game with 23 points, as the Jazz beat the New Orleans Hornets 95-83 Friday night.
Utah remains a half game behind the Lakers for the final spot in the Western Conference playoffs, but Utah has won six of its last seven games and will play at Golden State in Oakland Sunday night.
Utah pulled away from the Hornets with a better effort defensively. DeMarre Carroll's hustle plays on defense and Hayward's hot shooting, which included five 3-pointers was enough for the Jazz to turn a 45-43 halftime lead into a double-digit victory.
The Jazz (40-37) take on the Warriors (44-32), who are winners of three-straight and are in the thick of the play playoff race. We'll have extended game highlights and a trip to the locker room Sunday night at 10:35 pm on Talkin' Sports.
