Gordon Hayward Will Compete All Star Weekend
(KUTV) - The Utah Jazz signed 6-foot-8 forward DeMarre Carroll Wednesday afternoon.
Team President Randy Rigby said the club signed the former Missouri star as an insurance policy. With the addition of Carroll, Utah has 14 players on the roster, the NBA limit is 15.
Carroll is a former first-round pick that’s bounced around the D-League and NBA the past few seasons.
In other Jazz news, second-year player Gordon Hayward was one of 18 players selected to participate in the Rising Star Challenge during All-Star weekend in Orlando, Florida.
Blake Griffin, Ricky Rubio and Kyrie Irving are also scheduled to participate.
The teams will be picked by Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal.
