Utah Jazz Comeback Falls Short, Bulls Win 93-89
(KUTV) The Utah Jazz erased a 13-point deficit but couldn't stop the
Bulls in the final moments of the fourth quarter, falling 93-89 at
EnergySolutions Arena Friday night.
Carlos Boozer scored 11 of
his team-high 19 points in the fourth quarter and the Bulls made their
free-throws down the stretch to pull away for the win.
Al Jefferson had a season-high 32 points and 13 rebounds, but failed to score in the final 9 minutes of the contest.
Boozer played through early foul trouble to deliver crucial points in final five minutes of play.
His
layup with 2:29 to play in the game tied it at 83. Then Boozer scored
five more points from the free-throw line to push the Bulls to a 88-85
lead with 27 seconds remaining.
Randy Foye hit a jumper to get
the Jazz to within 88-87, but the Bulls made their fee-throws in the
final seconds of the game to secure the four point victory.
