Millsap Thinks the Jazz Are Close To Being A Playoff Team
(KUTV) Paul Millsap has easily been the most consistent player on a young Jazz team that has struggled on the road but played well at home this season.
Millsap said on Talkin' Sports that he believes the Jazz are close to being a playoff team and have yet to reach their potential this season.
The Jazz forward also talked about being the subject of trade rumors, which seems to always include his name."I try not to take it to heart," Millsap said Sunday night on Talkin' Sports.
"It will effect your play--you know, when you get on the court worrying about things like that. I try to let it go, if it happens,it happens."
Millsap also said the biggest difference in this year's team and the one that fell apart last year is confidence. And they really want to win for second-year coach Ty Corbin.
"It must be tough to come in after Jerry Sloan," Millsap said of Corbin's tenuous coaching situation. "I can only imagine how tough that is for him. As players, you know we want to do the best we can to help him out. And that means getting wins."
