Aggies Come Up Empty At Camp Randall
(KUTV) Utah State had the Wisconsin Badgers where they wanted them--37 yards away from victory, and the biggest win is Utah State history.
They only problem was Josh Thompson missed what should have been a routine 37 yard field goal and Wisconsin survives with a 16-14 victory at Camp Randall.
Utah State did what they needed to do in the first half. Chuckie Keeton hit a wide open Kerwynn Williams for the first score of the game and then found Matt Austin late in the first half to give the Aggies a 14-3 lead.
The third quarter was terrible for Utah State. Wisconsin's Kenzel Doe returned a punt 82 yards for a touchdown and Montee Ball ran in a 19 yard touchdown to give the Badgers a 16-14 lead.
Utah State had victory within their sights, but the missed field goal from Thompson started right and stayed right, giving Wisconsin the narrow win.
