Andersen Not Happy With Aggies Scrimmage
(KUTV) The Aggies open the season a week from Thursday at home against Southern Utah. Week 2 the Utes come calling at Romney Stadium
Aggies coach Gary Andersen is trying to get his team sharp for a pair in-state games to open the season. But after a 70-play scrimmage on Saturday, it appears the team is a little ways off.
Utah State's No. 1 offense drove 61-yards in a seven play drive before settling for a 32-yard field goal. The offense bogging down inside the 20, and that didn't set well with the Andersen.
Still, the offense eventually made some big plays but was unable to finish off drives. On the other hand, the Aggies' defense produced 3 turnovers on the day and has the look of Gary Andersen coach squad.
Yet it was the offense the USU coach had a problem with and its inability to perform in the red zone.
