Emmy award winning and veteran journalist Dan Rascon joined KUTV 2 News in October of 1999.
You will usually see his unique and eye catching reports during the noon, 4 p.m. , 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. newscasts.
A Colorado native, Dan graduated from Brigham Young University in Broadcast Journalism in 1991.
He has since worked as a reporter in San Diego, Fresno, Los Angeles and Denver.
He has covered everything from the devastating fires and earthquakes in California to the Oklahoma City Bombing trial in Denver, to the 9-11 Terror attack in New York City, to the five week Elizabeth Smart Kidnapping trial in Salt Lake City.
He has won numerous journalism awards for his story telling skills.
Dan is very active in the community, and speaks to various groups in the intermountain area.
He and his wife, Bonni, have 5 children.
