5 Healthy Messages to Teach Your Children About Their Bodies

(KUTV) The mission of Cahoots Fitness is "Developing Kids and Replenishing Moms." Moms workout in fun, effective group fitness classes while their children (ages 5 and younger) take "Movement Preschool" or "Baby Steps" classes of their own.

This is the time of year that women tend to obsess over their weight and fitness - kids are watching and picking up messages. Make a conscious effort to think, believe, and verbalize the following HEALTHY messages about your body and your children's bodies:

  1. Moving feels good
  2. Let's work to get strong and fit (rather than skinny)
  3. Give good fuel to your body (not creating food guilt)
  4. Your body can do amazing things!
  5. Be grateful for your body and take care of it

Cahoots Fitness teaches these principles in Movement Preschool at Cahoots.
