(KUTV) Salt Lake City - Utah Instagram sensation, power influencer, comedian, and nuch-lover, Collin Kartchner appeared on Fresh Living to talk about his latest charitable endeavor: The Christmas Carnival for Cancer. Collin brought with him two of the three kids who will benefit from the carnival: Payson Inkley and his mom Wendy Inkley & Brooke Koehler and her mom Jenessa Koheler. The group talked about how the carnival started, their kids' cancer stories, and what Payson & Wendy want for Christmas.
Collin explained how the Christmas Carnival for Cancer got started:
"Noah's Event Center said I could use their venue for a blogger event for free, so instead of a blogger event, I'm using it to have a fundraiser for 3 amazing kids fighting cancer. Payson and Brooke are both 7 from Farmington and friends of my neighbor Josh. Josh asked if I could think of someway to raise money for their soul-crushing medical bills. I went on Instagram like I did with Hurricane Harvey and said 'We have the venue, now we need your help for everything else. Who wants to help make a party!?' Dozen's of companies and people reached out donating everything from music, food, carnival booths, face-painting and balloon animals, and we've got tons of prizes we are going to raffle and a bunch of high-ticket items we have already auctioned, all from generous local Utah companies. We even had a puppy donated that raised $1200."
The tickets to the carnival sold out in a few hours, but you can still donate to the cause by going to BraveLikeBrooke.org (100% tax deduction through The Safe Harbor Foundation).
