Salt Lake City β (KUTV) Ashley and Tyson Gardner and their quadruplets visited Fresh Living to talk about their struggle with infertility and then surprise pregnancy with quadruplets and now life with four babies.
The Gardners will be speaking at an upcoming conference in Ogden, Utah full of inspiration and hope for anyone who has felt broken.
The couple endured eight years of infertility and say they often thought they might never have children of their own. They decided to attempt IVF as one last shot. Doctors gave them a 40 percent chance of conceiving one baby, but instead ended up with four healthy baby girls.
Tyson and Ashley say they experienced every emotion, feeling terrified and excited at the news. Tyson says he was shocked when all four babies were girls. Ashley says she was relieved because she felt she knew how to take care of girls. The Gardners say they enjoy being hands-on parents and do everything on their own. Daily life consists of constant feeding, diaper changing, clothing changes, play time and nap time.

When asked about the different personalities, they say all four girls are very sweet and full of smiles. Evangeline appears to have the strongest personality and Tyson jokes they gave her the nickname "Heavy Evie". Indie is the most well-tempered. They say that while Esme takes the role as the biggest diva right now, Scarlett held that title while in utero as she always gave the perfect profile picture during ultrasounds.
The conference, a Reason to Stand, will be held at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center on Oct. 23 and 24, 2015. For more information: areasontostand.com and gardnerquadsquad.com.
