(KUTV) Finding ways to volunteer can be difficult if someone doesn't know where to look.
The group Love Lake City is making it easier to help others by organizing a monthly service project in the community.
Love Lake City was created by Rachel Green and Clint Warner, who work together as real estate agents.
"Just made it into something where it was an outlet for people to serve," said Green.
Warner had participated in a monthly service group before after losing several jobs.
"Just kind of gave me a little bit more of a purpose," he said of volunteering during those hard times.
So he brought up the idea to Green, who has always been involved in different projects and organizations.
"I think it occurred to me that I don't have to have a lot of money to help people," said Green of her efforts to serve.
Love Lake City does some kind of service project every month.
They have traveled to Kanab to help out at the Best Friend's Animal Sanctuary, collected food for the Utah Food Bank, handed out sandwiches to the homeless, cleaned up parks, and more.
Anyone can volunteer with Love Lake City, and you can pick and choose your projects.
"It doesn't take a lot of time and it doesn't take a lot of money just to go out and help out," said Warner.
Plus, Green and Warner do all the leg work for you.
Once a year, Love Lake City holds a fundraiser for an organization they feel like could use some help.
On Saturday, November 5th, they are holding a "Behind the Masque" party to raise funds for the Road Home's "Housing First" project.
"The people that we help, they really need it," said Green.
Mountain America Credit Union donated $500 to help them with those efforts.
