(KUTV) The Utah Jazz is of course very special to the state, and David Locke believes it has a lot to do with the Miller family.
"I think it's the Millers, that they've tied this thing into the community," he said. "They've given so much of themselves. Larry gave his life literally to the franchise, the car dealerships, and the community."
Part of the reason Locke gets nervous before every game is because he wants to represent the organization well.
"You have to do that at a very high level to be worthy of that family," he said.
He has also experienced first-hand the generosity of the Jazz organization.
Locke told Shauna Lake of an experience where Utah Jazz President Steve Starks went out of his way to make sure Locke was able to attend his son's ski racing competition.
"They're incredible," Locke said.
That generosity makes Locke want to give his all to the team.
"I hope every fan knows that every night, I'm giving every ounce of everything I have," he said. "I hope the Millers know I'm giving everything."
