(KUTV) As you can imagine, being president of a university can come with its challenges.

"The part that is probably the hardest is to make sure that you keep up with everything that needs to be done," said Ruth Watkins.

She has emails to answer, events and meetings to attend, and community connections to make. Not to mention all the little tasks that need to get done in between.

"There is that feeling of, 'there's always ways to be better,'" Watkins said.

Watkins' job is very public, and she is aware of that.

"The good thing is, I think I have pretty good behavior most of the time," she winked. "You are mindful, of course, that it's hard to get the good without the challenges and of course it's really great for the university that so many people care and so many people are watching."
