(KUTV) Stephenie Larsen, CEO of Encircle, has seen a lot of amazing things at the resource center.
"We haven't perfected it yet, but we are saving lives," she said. "We're seeing these kids who would be home in their bedrooms, stewing over who they are. Instead they're coming, they're finding connection, they're finding other kids who are experiencing it, and they're starting to feel ok about who they are."
They don't discuss religion at Encircle, unless it's in therapy.
Instead, Larsen says they are trying to focus on the science of it all.
"Kids are born this way," she said. "Once you understand that, how can you judge them?"
