(KUTV) Last week Gaten Matarazzo, one of the stars of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” dropped by to talk about cleidocranial dysostosis (CCD), a genetic condition that affects the growing of bones and teeth. CCD is rare and only affects about one individual out of every million persons.
While my conversation with Matarazzo and was primarily about CCD his involvement with CCD Smiles, an organization that helps individuals with CCD get the dental work that they need, we did take some time to talk about how CCD has impacted his career, how it influenced the shaping of his “Stranger Things” character and how he was already a fan of the ‘80s before he was cast in the Netflix series.
Here is a selection of outtakes culled from the cutting room floor. I apologize for the quality, particularly when it comes to my questions, but there was too much exciting material here to not share.
