A Salt Lake City hip-hop music festival has been suddenly canceled due to "unforeseen circumstances."

The two-day event was supposed to take place on June 9 and 10 at the Utah State Fairpark.

Utah resident and fan-favorite Post Malone was scheduled to headline the event along with Kid Cudi.

Other artists intended to perform at the festival included Joji, Big Sean, Santa Fe Klan, Joey Bada$$, and Denzel Curry.

Pre-sale for the event began on Feb. 23. Event organizers stated on their website that tickets will be automatically refunded. Their full statement can be found below:

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Hive Music Festival will no longer take place this year. Tickets purchased from front gate tickets will be automatically refunded to the original method of payment in as little as 30 days."

Additional details about the unexpected cancellation were not initially known.

Malone also performed at the festival in 2021, when fans called for refunds because other big performers did not show up.
