(KUTV) — An 18-year-old was in serious condition on Sunday after an early morning rollover crash on Interstate 80, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Just before 4 a.m., the female driver was eastbound on I-80 when she drifted to the right and into a ditch, UHP said.
The vehicle rolled, landing on the driver's side. The woman, who was wearing her seat belt, had to be extricated from the vehicle, according to a press release.
"It is unknown why the driver left the roadway," UHP said in the press release.
The driver was transported to a local hospital in serious condition, but troopers said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Traffic was not affected, UHP said.
