(KUTV) -- Layton Police arrested two men Monday for allegedly breaking into a home garage and threatening the homeowner with a firearm.

Christopher Brennan, 51, and Collin McCormick, 37, were apprehended by a Kaysville Police Officer after witness descriptions of a getaway vehicle led the officer to it.

The alleged home invasion took place at approximately 11:30 a.m., when dispatch received a 911 call from a resident in the area of 100 South and 2500 East in Layton.

The caller reported hearing a female screaming for help and learned from that female that two men kept her gunpoint in her garage and demanded her cell phone.

According to a press release, one suspect entered the female's home while the other suspect held her at gunpoint in the garage.

The suspects fled from the home without causing physical harm to the female victim, the release stated.

A resident in the area of the home invasion reported seeing a vehicle flee from a nearby church and provided a suspect vehicle description.

With the eyewitness information provided to police dispatch, the suspects were located in the described vehicle and arrested.

Both men have been booked into Davis County Jail for one count each of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, and obstruction of justice.

Layton Police is seeking the public’s help in recovering a tan Carhartt-type jacket/coat that was believed to have been discarded in the area of 25 W. Mutton Hollow Rd., Kaysville.

The coat was worn by one of the suspects in the incident, a news release said.
