(KUTV) — Coronavirus testing has expanded in Utah.
Anyone who is at the Men's Resource Center in South Salt Lake or entered the Midvale Family Resource Center was screened for COVID-19, according to a press release.
Both facilities, which are run by The Road Home, implemented these procedures this week.
Individuals at the Men's Resource Center, who are asymptomatic, were tested for coronavirus on Monday. This comes after two men who stayed at the Men's Resource Center tested positive last week. The center has not been accepting new residents since then.
At the Midvale Family Resource Center, teams conducted thorough screenings and testing as needed on Tuesday.
Those who test positive will be taken to a Salt Lake County facility to recover in isolation, a press release stated.
The Road Home, along with medical team support from the State of Utah, Salt Lake County Health Department, Medical Reserve Corps, Fourth Street Clinic, the University of Utah Wellness Bus and Intermountain Healthcare are working to make this possible.
