ST. GEORGE, Utah (KUTV) -- $5,000 is being offered as a reward for information about a fire at a church building in St. George that is now believed to have been caused by arson.
The building, a meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 449 S. 300 East, caught fire just after 1 a.m. on Jan. 26.
The reward is being offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which is investigating the case along with the Utah State Fire Marshal and the St. George Police Department.
Receipt of the money is conditional on the information leading to an arrest and conviction, a press release states.
Those with information that could aid the investigation were asked to contact the St. George police tip line at 435-627-4338 or ATF at 1-888-ATF-TIPS. Information can be sent via email to ATFTips@atf.gov or through ATF's website.
