Nearly 9,000 people without power in northern Utah

(KUTV) 8,966 customers were without power due to outages affecting a transmission line, affecting 9 substations.

Update: As of 10:30 p.m. the cause of the outage has not yet been determined. Crews were able to reroute power to some of the affected areas, reducing the number of affected people to 7560.

The following areas were affected:

  • Garden City
  • St. Charles
  • Montpelier
  • Cokeville
  • Ramond
  • Indian Creek
  • Chapman
  • Woodruff
  • Randolph

Crews are investigating the cause of the outage.
