African Restaurant in SLC closed for breaking 19 health code violations, cockroaches

(KUTV)- A traditional East African restaurant in Salt Lake City was closed by the Salt Lake County Health Department Tuesday after breaking 19 health code violations.

According to the health department report, the restaurant located near 878 S., Redwood Road had 19 violations among those violations: cockroaches.

"The establishment was closed for presenting an imminent health hazard and the following violations." the report said.

The health department also stated some employees did not have a food handler card.
