Police identify body found in Ogden River

UPDATE: Ogden police have identified the body found in the river as Tracy Rex Kunzler, 51-years-old.

The preliminary report does not indicate a suspicious death, but "the manner of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner’s office," police say.

(KUTV)- A body was pulled from the Ogden River in the 21st pond area Wednesday morning.

Danielle Croyle, the Ogden Police Department's Captian, said they received a tip through a post on social media about a body in the water Tuesday night.

Croyle said there was a Facebook post posted to a community group asking if they thought the photo of the body was real.

Police say the body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. Investigators do not yet know the identity of the person.
