(KUTV) – A high-speed police chase that began in Ogden ended in Brigham City Thursday night.

The chase began around 8 p.m. when Ogden officers were trying to stop a red Pontiac. The vehicle fled north on I-15 with officers chasing after it.

The car was disabled and stopped near 650 North 300 East in Brigham City around 8:30 p.m.

Several police cruisers were disabled during the chase and stopped on the side of I-15 near exit 362 for approximately two hours.

At least one person from the vehicle was taken into custody and is currently being questioned by police. Another person was in the car, but it is not clear if that person will be arrested in connection with the incident.

A Tremonton Police spokesperson confirmed to 2News Thursday night that the suspect who Ogden Police were chasing may have been connected to an incident earlier this week where a police cruiser was stolen.

2News has contacted Ogden Police for more information about the chase and the individuals involved. This story will be updated when there is more information.
