A young brown bear was relocated Thursday after a homeowner spotted her trailing through Uintah County.

Officials of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said that they received a call Thursday notifying them of a female brown bear seen lingering just outside of Vernal City limits.

The bear, who was found to be just two years old, was safely and successfully translocated to a rural area a few hours away from the residential neighborhood.
