A large apartment complex in Logan housing students at nearby Utah State University was without power for a time Friday morning after the building’s management failed to pay the utility bill.

Logan City Treasurer Tyson Griffin reported that the management at “The Factory” apartments, at 870 N. 600 E., was warned Thursday the lights would be shut off Friday absent a payment, but none was made.

A spokesperson for The Factory told 2News on Friday he wasn’t aware exactly what happened and the company would be investigating the incident.

The payment was made and the lights were turned on by about 1 p.m. Friday.

A tenant reported to 2News that residents pay about $70 a month for their utilities.
