(KUTV) Demolition has begun on eight homes in Cottonwood Heights as they make way for a new city hall.Demolition started Monday morning for the building which will be at the corner of 2300 E. Bengal Blvd.Cottonwood Heights Mayor Kelvyn Cullmore says the city currently rents a number of offices in a building on Fort Union Blvd."We've been a city for ten years and we've been renting spaceso we're really excited to have a home an identity," said Cullmore.It will take about a week to finish demolition and the city hopes to break ground on the new building in April.{} The new building is scheduled to be finished in June of 2016.
