Salt Lake Winter Farmers Market coming soon to Rio Grande
(KUTV) The weather is changing, but that doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to Salt Lake's favorite local food vendors and other farmers market favorites.
Beginning Nov. 5 the Winter Market at the Rio Grande Depot is home to 60 local vendors every other Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until April.
For the first time at Winter Market you can get your Thanksgiving turkey. Turkeys are locally raised and can be purchased on site.
Thanks to a warm autumn there will be lots of produce still available. Get ready for your holiday meals with fresh squash, grass-fed meats, cheeses and salsa.
"The fourth season of the Winter Market at Rio Grande opens with a record number of vendors, " said market director Alison Einerson, "We're proud to offer the most diverse product mix seen in any previous years."
