Update: Evacuations lifted, firefighters containing High Country 2 Fire

    UPDATE: (August 18, 9:15 p.m.) -- Unified Fire says the official name of the fire burning in Herriman near Shaggy Mountain Road is the High Country 2 Fire.

    No injuries or structures were lost.

    Firefighters plan to have the fire contained around 10 p.m. Saturday night.

    All roadblocks and voluntary evacuations are lifted.

    UPDATE: (August 18 6:20) Firefighters are expecting to have full containment of the Shaggy Mountain Fire by 9 p.m.

    No mandatory evacuations are in place, just voluntary. The evacuation is for homes south and west of 14101 Shaggy Mountain Road.

    Evacuees can go to Butterfield Canyon Elementary.

    (KUTV) — Fire crews have ordered evacuations for areas around Shaggy Mountain Road in Herriman.

    These evacuations are in response to the growing Shaggy Mountain Fire. Investigators still do not know the cause of the fire.
