(KUTV) The woman who died while trying to save her 4-year-old daughter from drowning in the Provo River was "simply selfless," according to her family.

Tawny De Dios, the sister-in-law of Brenda Nalleli De Dios, released a statement Tuesday morning.

"Brenda was loving and caring for all, she was simply selfless," Tawny De Dios wrote. "She would help anyone she could and would do anyhing (sic) for her children. They were her pride and joy. Her family will miss her greatly; her smile, laughter and the joy she brought."

Brenda Nalleli De Dios and 30-year-old Sean Zacharey Thayne both died while looking for 4-year-old London De Dios after she fell into the Provo River.

Friends of Thanyne told 2News he was "the nicest guy," and had "such a big heart."

Police will continue to search for the girl Tuesday.

The De Dios family has set up a GoFundMe account to help cover funeral expenses. You can find the account here.
