VEYO, Utah (KUTV) — A father and two children were life-flighted to the hospital after their motorhome ignited and exploded in a small southern Utah town.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the fire happened Monday in Veyo, Utah. When deputies arrived they saw a Blue Bird Bus with flames shooting out of the top. The bus was nearly engulfed.
Sheriff's officials said one adult male and four children sustained burns ranging from minor to severe.
According to a GoFundMe page, the family of six had been living and traveling in the vehicle. The page stated that the father and children were flown to St. George when they were immediately sent via life-flight to a specialized burn unit in Las Vegas.
The other two children were transported to the hospital for precautionary measures.
The GoFundMe page identified the couple as Kyle and Whitney Copeland.
An investigation into the fire is being conducted by the Utah State Fire Marshal.
