Four people in critical condition after vehicle runs red light

(KUTV) - Four people were transported to the hospital in critical condition after a vehicle T-boned another in Salt Lake City around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

A car, driven by a 39-year-old female with a 42-year-old male passenger, was traveling westbound on 5400 South, according to Sgt. Melody Gray with Unified Police.

The driver ran the red light at the Bangerter Highway Intersection.

A car traveling southbound, with a 22-year-old male driver and a 22-year-old female passenger, T-boned the westbound traveling car.

All four were transported to IHC in critical condition.

As of Saturday afternoon, all four people were in a stable condition, according to Sgt. Gray.

Impairment is being investigated as a possible cause.
