Fourth victim comes forward in South Salt Lake shooting

(KUTV) A fourth man involved in a shooting went to the hospital a couple hours after the shooting Thursday night with a gunshot wound to his leg, police say.

South Salt Lake police said the shooting happened around 325 E., Park Creek Lane, about 3000 South. Police said the shooting occurred at approximately 8 p.m. Three young men were hit and at least one person was killed in the shooting, according to police.

A family member confirmed with 2News that 17-year-old Armando Cuenca Curiel of South Salt Lake died at the scene.

A 19-year-old and 20-year-old victim, both brothers from Salt Lake City, were transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police say the 17-year-old teen was a close friend of the brothers' family.

The final victim is a 19-year-old man from Miami, Florida, who showed up at the hospital more than 2 1/2 hours after the initial shooting, with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The three victims were sitting in an SUV in the middle of the street, South Salt Lake Police Department spokesman Gary Keller said. The victims were all still inside the car when police arrived.

Two handguns have been recovered. One gun was found in the SUV found at the scene and the second was recoved a short distance from the SUV on Park Creeke Ln.

Police said they weren't sure who shot the three. Investigators have gone door-to-door in the neighborhood to learn what people saw or heard in the area.

Motive has not been determined and the case is still under investigation.
