SANDY, Utah (KUTV) — Larkin Mortuary’s annual Memorial Day service was started 23 years ago to help families honor their loved ones and military veterans who have passed.
Services included a flag ceremony, patriotic music with armed service songs from each military branch, bagpipes and drums and refreshments.
Larkin Mortuary, established in 1885, is one of the most well-known funeral establishments in the Salt Lake Valley.
The family-owned business has served Utah families for six generations and has four funeral homes in Salt Lake City, Sandy, and Riverton, as well as an on-site crematory and two full-service cemeteries.
Featured speakers included U.S. Congressman Chris Stewart, along with the Hill Air Force Honor Guard. Minuteman Brass Quinet, Alta High School Madrigals, and the Utah Firefighters Emerald Society.
