(KUTV) – A Utah couple thanked staff members at a restaurant, who were about to be out of a job, with more than just words.
A husband and wife ate at Rodizio Grill at Trolley Square on Monday. They wanted to eat at a restaurant one last time before all dine-in options were closed because of coronavirus pandemic precautions.
According to Ashlee Hille, the director of marketing for the restaurant chain, the couple was "overwhelmed with the amazing service" from the "cheerful" and "fun" staff, who knew they'd lose their jobs the next day.
Hille says the couple was so moved by the experience that they wanted to give each working staff member $50. So, they gave a tip of $1,050.
Ivan Utrera, the founder of Rodizio Grill, called the guest on Tuesday to share his deep appreciation for this kind gesture.
