SALT LAKE CITY (AP) Josh Romney says he's focused on helping Utah's governor win re-election this year, but is eyeing the office for himself in 2020.
The Deseret News reports that Josh Romney, son of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney, said Monday that running for governor in 2020 is something he is "strongly considering."
Romney says he's been consistently asked by others to run for political office and will decide when the time is right. He says his decision will be based on the ideas and solutions he could offer for the future of Utah.
Republican U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz has also said he would take a "serious, serious look" at running for Utah governor in 2020.
