Several interior and exterior changes are coming to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' temples in Salt Lake City and Manti.

Along with seismic protection and cosmetic renovations, the temples will no longer offer a progressive room-to-room presentation by live actors during the endowment session.

When the Salt Lake Temple reopens, a film presentation will be available in more than 80 languages. The live presentation was only available in English. The Church states this change will make it possible to hold more sessions per day, "hope it will help more members feel confident to serve....without the requirement for length memorization," and allow members who don't speak English to have "a more meaningful... temple experience."

The Salt Lake Temple will also be the first temple to have two baptisteries.

The Manti Temple, which is set to close and undergo renovations later this year, will also make similar changes.

The live presentation will no longer be available at the temple located in central Utah.
