(KUTV) — Police arrested Christopher Scott Lewis, 35, after a three-hour standoff on Interstate 15 in Davis County on Monday.

Lewis was booked into the Davis County Jail Monday night. Clearfield police were expected to screen charges and handle the follow-up investigation of the incident.

The standoff reportedly began when Lewis and another driver were involved in a crash on 650 North in Clearfield.

The drivers then migrated to nearby I-15, where Lewis brandished a gun, pointed at himself, and ran into traffic.

Police responded and shut down both directions of the interstate from about 5:30 to 9 p.m., at which point Lewis was taken into custody.

He was taken to a local hospital and treated before being booked into jail, where he was held without bail, according to court documents.
