(KUTV) - Rep. Mia Love (R-UT) officially filed for re-election Monday.

Love is facing off against Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams, a Democrat, in the race for Utah's 4th district congressional seat.

Polls from February show Love with a small lead over McAdams, 49% to 43%.

Love issued a statement about her re-election campaign:

I’ve been laser-focused on listening to and representing the needs of the 4th district. We’ve tackled tax reform, passed legislation to help rural economies and every step of the way fought for the sanctity of life.
I am passionate about running because I’m proud of the work we’ve done but know there is much still left to be accomplished.
Our most crucial legislation often comes down to just a few votes. Every success we've had (and could have in the future) can be thrown into reverse by a Nancy Pelosi controlled House of Representatives as she will keep Ben McAdams square in line behind her. I’m committed to fighting for less government control, lower taxes and protecting the unborn.

Democratic challenger Ben McAdams announced his candidacy to try to unseat Love back in October.
