Odgen father charged with murder of his baby
(KUTV) -- Alex Hidalgo, 37, of Ogden, was charged with aggravated murder in the death of his 10-month-old son, Alex Hidalgo Junior.
Hidalgo was detained by Ogden Police late Saturday night and questioned. Early Sunday, police announced his arrest.
In addition to aggravated murder, Hidalgo is being held on charges of desecration of a human body, obstruction of justice, possession of a controlled substance and criminal trespass.
The baby was found unresponsive in an apartment at 2400 Madison Avenue on Friday, July 20.
According to police, the baby was transported to the hospital and was pronounced dead there.
Police have not said how the baby was killed.
Hidalgo went missing after the baby’s death. Police found him late Saturday night and began questioning him.
He was booked into the Weber County Jail.
